Description
Home away from home. The villa is set in a small child friendly enclosed olive grove along with our home and is just outside the village of Kaliviani. It is on one level with only 3 steps up from the drive and level side access. The road passing the villa is quiet as it finishes after 200metres at a small church. It has plenty of private gated off road parking. Enjoy the warm weather in the private swimming pool or sunbathe on the patio, but why not take your siesta under an olive tree. A peaceful location within easy reach of the beach and the village of Kaliviani is a 10 min walk with two fantastic restaurants/tavernas.
The villa has air-con in all rooms as well as remote control ceiling fans. The villa also has full central heating but I'm sure it won't be needed with the lovely summer weather but the log fire can make for a cosy evening in when not enjoying a BBQ by the pool. There are a selection of books, DVDs and games available. British plumbing so no small bore pipes. The villa has a solar heated private pool and children and non-swimmers must be supervised at all times whilst using it. The villa has its own patio leading from the pergola by the pool with plenty of room for the sunbeds, umbrella and BBQ. Table and chairs are under the covered pergola for that bit of shade from the heat of the sun for alfresco eating. There is a comfy seating area at the front for those lazy evenings.
The villa is situated 5 mins from the main road making It a good starting point for visiting the well-known attractions and exploring this unspoilt area of Crete. Book with confidence as we are licenced by the Greek tourist authority EOT 1042K92003064801

There are a few little sandy bays on the way to Kissamos which has many beach front tavernas and coffee shops and safe paddling for children.
The long sandy beach at Falasarna with stunning panoramic views is only a short drive to swim, sunbathe or just sit in the tavernas looking out to sea watching the beautiful sunsets. The pink sandy beach of Elafonisi is about 1 hour away where you can wade across to the island or just enjoy a relaxing time.
The Blue Lagoon at Balos can be reached by road in a 4x4 with a 10 min walk down to the beach or by boat from Kavonisi port 2K away. The popular town of Chania is only 35 mins drive with its Venetian harbour and tavernas to sit and watch the world go by or explore the little streets for more tavernas and plenty of little shops.
