5000 and beyond

Hi all,
It's been a long time since we posted anything new - too long really. We're still going strong and we listed our 5,000th advert late in 2013 and we're adding new ads on a daily basis.
Although we haven't put up any recent news we've still been busy over the last year or two; we've upgraded our maps to include Street View. And we've added sub regions across the whole of the site - that's an addition we're particularly proud of and it took a long time to plan and implement. We're currently upgrading the image uploader to move it away from a flash based system and open up availability to Ipad and Iphone. We also have an enormous list of corrections and bugfixes which we'll be carrying out towards the end of this year.
And as our advertisers will already know, next year the site will become a paid service. We've got a bit to do before that happens but we feel the site is almost ready. We launched in September 2008 so it's been a long time to get where we are now.
The problem with creating something that grows is that we also have to put up with things which are not so good. We were contacted recently by one of our advertisers who'd received a telephone call from a person pretending to be from theholidaylet and offering them a discount on advertising. This was obviously a scam and our advertiser recognized this and contacted us. So our advice to all advertisers and potential advertisers is as follows: please do not make any payment to anyone over the phone who says they're representing us.
