Description
The gite is a house of modern construction but contains many period-style Norman features. The ground floor comprises an entry hall, cloakroom, fully-equipped kitchen with electric cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave oven. The large downstairs double bedroom has its own bathroom (bath with shower handset and washbasin). The spacious living-room has a log-burning stove in a classic Normandy fireplace. There is a comfortable 3-piece suite and large open-plan dining area.
A feature staircase leads to the first floor with three bedrooms (one double and two twin rooms). The large bathroom has been completely renovated with modern fittings and an excellent independent shower.
Additional equipment includes an automatic washing machine, high chair and cot and two additional folding beds which can be used in any bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with an excellent range of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.
Outside the property there is a large enclosed garden with mature trees and extensive lawn. The large verandah gives beautiful views of the valley. Garden furniture, including tables, chairs and parasols are provided.

Location description
Le Bec Hellouin is situated in a beautiful valley some 45 km south-west of Rouen. Located near the town of Brionne. The heart of the village is the historic Abbey of Le Bec which has very strong historical links with the see of Canterbury.
Local events
The village festival takes place during the second week-end of July every year. The Abbey has regular concerts and services. The local market in Brionne on Sunday and Thursday mornings.
Tourist attractions
Chateaux of Champs de Bataille (gardens and golf course), Beaumesnil and Harcourt (with arboretum). Le Bec Abbey. Local food producers including Le Bec organic farm. Calvados and Pommeau distilleries. Coastal resorts and D-Day beaches.
