Description
Ty Mad is situated in the quiet village of Plenee-Jugon. The cottage stands in half an acre of enclosed garden, with lawns and mature fruit trees. It has the advantages of being private and centrally located, making it an ideal family holiday home. Within the village there are several bars, a small supermarket and a village bakery for fresh bread and croissants.
The cottage has a spacious lounge with beams and a granite fireplace with log stove. It is comfortable with a large sofa and two armchairs. There is English satellite TV, a DVD player and a CD/radio, DVDs, books and games. It has a good sized dining table and chairs for six. There is a well equipped kitchen, and two double bedrooms. The bathroom has a full size bath and an overhead shower.
Outside French doors open on to a patio area in front of the house, there is a picnic table and barbecue. Sun loungers and parasols are also available.
The cottage has a marked parking area on a quiet street.

Location description
The long sandy beaches of the emerald coast are 35 minutes drive away. St.Cast is a blue flag beach and is great for small children there are also lots of other lovely beaches on this coastline. Most of them are good for exploring rock pools and there are impressive walks along the cliffs.
Jugon-Les-Lacs is just 10 minutes drive away and the historic town of Dinan is 30 minutes away. The village is within two miles of the motorway making it easy to access St-Brieuc and Rennes (Capital of Brittany). It is also easy to visit Paris by high speed rail link from Lamballe.
Tourist attractions
Golf: Year-round golf is available in the Cotes d'Armor. There are many courses within a short drive. The nearest golf course to the house is Golf de la Criniere near Lamballe. It is a 9 hole course located in a wooded area near
the 17th century Chateau. Dinard has the 2nd oldest course in France
founded in 1887, here the links wind along the cliffs. There are also a number
of 18 hole courses on the Emerald coast near to beaches and the sea. The
course at Pleneuf, Le Val-Andre for example is a coastal modern links/parkland course which is regularly rated one of the best in France.
Cycling: There are ten mountain bike cycle tracks of different level and distance situated in and around Jugon. Bikes can be hired from Chalet Sports Nature at Jugon-Les-Lacs. They also provide supervised courses for beginners.
Fishing: Jugon-Les-Lacs is also a great place for lake and river fishing. The main spots for angling are Lake Jugon and Lake Arguenon, where you are able to catch carp, trout, pike and zander. Fishing permits, boats and lessons in angling are all available from la Maison de la Peche.
Directions
The cottage is only 40 minutes drive away from Dinard airport and 50 minutes from Rennes airport both of which have regular flights from the UK. There are a number of car hire firms operating from the airports and car hire can easily be booked on line before you travel. If you wish to travel in your own car the ferry port of Saint-Malo is just 50 minutes drive.
