Description
Lakeview Lodge is located in beautiful countryside, within the Vale of Belvoir, Leicestershire, overlooking its very own private fishing lake. Along with the truly idyllic setting, there boasts an abundance of nature and wildlife, offering a true ‘immersion into nature’. The lodge has a privileged position which hosts some of the most wonderful sunsets, a sight appreciated by all, and perfect for visiting artists, or keen photographers. For cyclists, runners and walkers, the area has many routes, trails and bridleways to explore, both on and off road. This is an ideal venue for couples, families and keen fishermen, when holidaying, needing 'time out', or purely as a 'stop off' when travelling further a-field.
Lakeview lodge offers a great base from which to explore the surrounding areas, such as Oakham, Rutland, Uppingham and the Vale of Belvoir. Interesting places to visit nearby include - Twin lakes - 10 minutes. Belvoir castle - 15 minutes. Oakham, Rutland water - 45 minutes. Leicester Cathedral - 20 minutes. Stapleford Park - 20 minutes. National Space centre, Leicester - 30 minutes. Melton Carnegie museum - 12 minutes. Woolsthorpe Manor - 25 minutes. Whissendine mill - 20 minutes. Langar Hall - 15 minutes. Ragdale Hall - 12 minutes. The stylish lodge has one double bedroom, and one single bedroom, to accommodate three guests comfortably, but will sleep a total of five guests; by also using the two single sofa beds located in the living room.
Our aim is to be very flexible with regard to bookings, and we look forward to doing our utmost, to accommodate guests’ exact requirements when selecting the dates and length of stay required. We have chosen not to dictate fixed arrive/depart days. We charge on a per nightly basis, dependant on the time of year, and don't base our prices on whether your booking falls mid-week, week-end, or on a bank holiday etc.... What a refreshing change, and so much easier! If you wish your well earned break to start on the day of the week that you choose, then why not! When booking with us, two anglers are included in the price of your stay, but one additional angler may also be added, at an additional charge. Also, when choosing to book 7 nights or more, there is a discount available (please enquire).
The fishing lake is host to a stock of Carp, of which guests have exclusive use. There are four large swims/platforms from which to fish, each giving ample room to set up a bivvy and fishing equipment. There is a maximum of 3 anglers to fish the lake. Night fishing is permitted.
Immediately outside the lodge, there is a parking area, for the sole use of our guests. Sorry, but we do not allow vans/trucks at the venue.
