The Mill & Stable was converted from a grain store and stable. where they kept the horses that worked on the land, we have kept some of the original features in the barn a polley shaft across the lounge area which drove the mill in the early 40’s, also there are photos on the wall showing some of the animals that were on the farm in the early years.
There is a large modern open plan kitchen, dining area and a spacious lounge, with all the conveniences of a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge / freezer, hob and oven, and micro-wave. Directions from England / South East Wales
If travelling on M4, go to end of motorway and continue west on the A48 to Carmarthen. If coming from the Midlands or North of England, you can either continue on that road all the way to where it joins the M4 near Bristol and then head west into Wales or you may choose to take the more mountainous (but probably quicker) route by taking the M50 turning between Worcester and Tewkesbury. At the end of the M50, take the A40 and follow it all the way to Carmarthen. This is a lovely drive through the Brecon Beacons.
At Carmarthen, take the A40 west to St Clears. At St Clears, leave the A40 at a sliproad signposted for Pendine. Follow signs to Pendine, you will pass through the main village of Laugharne after about 4 miles. After entering Broadway take your next right.. You will find Laugharne Barns (look out for the signs) half-a-mile along this road on the right.
